STYLSS Mix 022: Dot

STYLSS is one of my favorite PNW-based collectives, so I happily accepted the invitation to create a mix for their series. In a nutshell, this mix is what I listen to when I light up the first bowl of the day and cook breakfast. It’s an assortment of unreleased tunes from me and my pals, plus some other current favorites.

Each mix in the STYLSS series also comes with a recipe, so since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I provided one for some tasty (and spacey) blueberry muffins:

Dot’s Wake n’ Bake Blueberry Muffins ♡〜٩(^▿^)۶〜♡

3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup melted cannabis butter (or regular butter if you’re only tryna get sugar-high)
1 egg
2 cups of flour
1/3 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup blueberries
zest from an orange or lemon

1.) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2.) In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg, milk, and butter together. In another bowl, mix together the dry ingredients, then combine with the wet stuff.
3.) Throw in the blueberries, zest, and whatever else suits your fancy.
4.) Add batter to muffin tins (make sure you line them with the little paper cups, otherwise you’re f*cked).
5.) Bake for approximately 18-20 minutes and spark up a joint, then let cool.

The Acid EP

Unequivocally my favorite band of the year, The Acid is the product of TeamSupreme collaborator (and my former music professor) Steve Nalepa, LA-based singer-songwriter Ry X, and producer/DJ Adam Freeland.

You can pre-order the Picture Disc Vinyl which comes with a HQ download code of ‘The Acid EP,’ and be sure to check out The Acid in session live at Maida Vale for Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1!

“Basically this EP is me attempting to make instrumentals that will effect people moods in a positive way but also make people think, all produced and recorded by myself in my bedroom. I’ve used a combination of obscure jazz samples but mostly live instrumentation that I’ve recorded, so I recored guitar, violin, bit of vocals and sound effects etc.” – Tom Misch
